Braised Kale

This side dish is a delicious way to eat more of this superfood, which is high in Vitamins A and C and low in calories.


  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil blend
  • 1 1/4 lbs. Kale, cleaned and trimmed
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Onion, diced 3/8"
  • 1 Tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Low-sodium chicken broth, prepared
  • 1/8 tsp Crushed red pepper
  • Dash Kosher salt
  • 1/8 tsp Black pepper


  1. Preheat braising pan and add oil.
  2. Add half of the kale, chicken broth and seasonings.
  3. When kale cooks down, add the remaining kale and continue to braise, covered, until most of the liquid is gone and the greens are tender.
